Pharmacy For Life Group with the support of Chemists’ Own have donated $1000 to Alzheimer’s Australia Queensland as part of the Chemists’ Own Help Us Help Our Local Community Campaign where a portion of Chemists’ Own products sold in pharmacy was donated to the cause.

The Pharmacy group which includes Pharmacy For Life Nambour Heights, Pharmacy For Life Maroochy Waters, Pharmacy For Life Wurtulla & Pharmacy For Life Dicky Beach have all chosen to show their support to the worthy cause as they see firsthand the impact Dementia has on their community members.

Owner Julianna Neil said, “We offer support to our community members living with Dementia and their families and we assist with making management of their medications safer through the use of weekly Webster medication packs and home deliveries.”

Dementia is now the second-leading cause of death in Australia with a 38% projected increase in people diagnosed on the Sunshine Coast over the next 8 years. The National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500 offers information and support from trained advisors from 8am to 5pm weekdays.
